according to wikipedia...the 'witnesses' turned tail and ran. they were later excommunicated... men of "REAL CONVICTION" NOT !! some left and started their own religions... GOOGLE AND RESEARCH YOURSELF !! compare these witnesses' behavior with the disciples of Jesus...they all died martyrs deaths. why?? probably because Jesus was real and 'ol Joe was a leg puller??

Only three of the eight witnesses made separate statements that they actually handled the plates. They were Joseph Smiths brothers, along with John Whitmer.
