Hey man, are you recording in pro tools, I have Maudio Project mix but the master fader does not work, it does on Logic, but not on pro tools, is there a secret or something?
Please help me, thanks and you have a great sound.

One of the hardest things of micing drums, in my opinion, is isolating all the separate elements so that each tone you work so hard on is showcased. Like alot of people have said: fantastic job with the snare and kick. Unfortunately since you are a drummer you have a million times more elements to account for when it comes to recording your instrument; in comparison to other potential musicians. Bottom line is your recording rocks there is just a little tweaking you have to do. Nice sound

where u from mate?

Nice work drew, you got the fundamentals of recording down. Snare and bass sound great! especially the bass drum! top notch! comparable to any studio. However... the toms and cymbals sound like shit. Work on the EQ of your overheads and try to reduce the panning as that would reek havoc on a mix. Then learn how to play drums because you are really at a beginner level player wise. I would love to hear you in the future with some decent OH and some skills

nice and clean!

the cymbals, the snare and the bass drum are good...but the toms sounds terrible...nice job!
No real reason my advice would b to try different positioning to get sound you want this works best for me and also reduces the possibility of sticks hitting and killing the mic, hope this helps!

Alternatively you can run it all into a multichannel mixer which are really cheap (You can then EQ before you record) and then into a stereo recording interface. The lot probs no more than £300, but it leaves no room for alterations of levels, EQ or effects afterwards.
Finally recording live u would need either a laptop with a control surface like mine or the stereo one I talked about, failing that, a multi-track device of some kind, but your talking a lot of money for a decent 8 input :)

Snare pointed at the skin as close to the edge as possible preferably at a 45 degree angle, toms pretty much the same, then the overheads...
Recording equiptment: To get this kind of sound you need to run each mic into a seperate channel on your recording program e.g. Cubase, then you'll be able to mould the sound with EQ which is basically playing around with frequencies until you get the sound u want. These Control surfaces start at around £600-700 for 8 inputs but well worth the money.

Sorry about the late response guys, well let me try and cover all questions in one first off, My Equiptment:
Tama Superstar Kit
Kick drum has an EMAD skin, which has a dampner plus there's medium sized quilt inside to deaden the sound a little more
Cymbals: Zildjian custom hats
Sabian 14" AAX crash
Stagg - Ride, Medium Crash, China/Splash
Mic Placement
Kick, just inside the hole pointed a little of centre so its not aimed directly at the beater... (1/2) continued
