ey man you think you can help me out, i made stealth box out of a compaq box which is about 15inches tall 6.2 inches wide, i want to use cfl but their is alot of debate on lumens watts and and i confuse, what wattage output shoul i use for veggitation and how many?? and how watt wattage should i use for flowering also how many bulbs? oh an i only growing one plant in this case?

@womenbeater187 so, you want to first calculate your growing space, which is L x W of the floor space, in your case, 6.2 inches by whatever length. The general rule of thumb is about 3000 lumens per square foot, and you probably have about 1 1/2. you could easily get away vegging your plant with two 32w cfl's. super cheap. Make sure to get "daylight" bulbs, as those help veg. I used more lights than necessary, but they grow faster with more light. flowering, you need the soft light bulbs.

i have 2 6500k lights for 4 seedlings.. is that enough? and how long do i keep em lit up for in a day?

looking back i think the cfl's i used were ~2700k, which are NOT the efficient spectrum for vegging. general rule of thumb is to check the lumens that your bulbs output, which is usually directly related to the wattage, ie more watts, more lumens. ~3000lumens per sq ft of grow space. so if your space is like mine, then yes, 2 will be good. Start out with 24/0 cycle, thats what i was doing and they grew nicely :)

i have to slag off your box m8 sorry you seem like a great guy and everything but ....

the whole point of the pc grow box idea is for stealth not just for a place to grow

and that amount of light booming out of your pc is bound to raise a few eyebrows

i just dont see the point in making a pc grow box if its not 100% stealth

well the pc grow box is a great idea to start your vegging. small area which means i was only running 3 lights = minimal energy usage. gets em nice and leafy green. plus, it gives ideas for how to set up your box! :)

You should just throw one 125 watt cfl in there thier 4" inches wide 13" inches long plus get a pc box thats atleast 21" tall 9" inches wide 16" long and 4 fans 2- intake
