Lindisfarne, a Holy Island

A journey across the causeway ,and back to the mainland, to visit the island of Lindisfarne in the North Sea, off Northumberland in the UK. Also known as Holy Island. It was a cradle of christianity and only second to Rome in the very early days. Until the vikings made raids and the abbey was abandoned. and St Cuthberts remains were removed.
