De film is een intiem portret van een ware diva die door de Senegalese geschiedenis heeft gezongen als begeleidster van de mythische president dichter Léopold Sédar Senghor. Een verhaal over grootheid, roem en het vergaan van de tijd.

Yandé Codou Sène, around eighty years old, is one of the last leading singers of polyphonic serere poetry. This documentary gives an intimate glance on a true diva who sang through Senegalese history accompanied by the mythical president poet Léopold Sédar Senghor.
Here is a sweet and bitter story about greatness, glory and the passing of time.
