Forrest Hylton seems well informed, since he has most likely been in Bolivia and witnessed the current events, but humbly, I would suggest that Evo is more careful than 'afraid' to use force as a sign that he is willing to be a patient leader in the face of a dire threat. The right wing governors are throwing a tantrum right now, and Evo is waiting for it to pass. Some must question the loss of lives, but I think it will hopefully keep the crisis from becoming a civil war.

Fact - The shut down was political

Fact - The shut down effected the other opposition media outlets and effectivly muted them.

Fact - It is a crime to publicly criticize Chavez in the media.

Fact - Chavez used his decree powers to enact 26 new laws that the people of Venezuela had voted agianst. He said he would respect their wishes. I guess absolute power does corrupt.
