@muslim4321 I remember reading the news story from when it happened. According to the News Story, the local Fire Department had determined the fire to be an Accident. The version of the story I heard is that Eleanor and Gray got out of the house but Eleanor realized the Granddaughter was still in there and went back in to try to rescue her. As we know, both wound up perishing in the blaze.

Hello, I am not sure how to write this response or even if I should be. I was born in 1969 to the parents of Shirlee Wicks & Graham Townsend. I never got to meet my biological father but
only heard stories about him through my Mom.

They dated each other for a short period in the late sixties until I was born. My Mother had a small band, I believe named the Happy Wonderers, when she met Graham. Almost nobody knows about this information. I never tried to reach or contact Graham because my Mother married in 1973 and my step father Who
raised me was the only Dad I knew, so I never bothered trying to contact my real Dad.

I can remember going to a Sam the Record Man in the late 80´s and seeing an álbum of Graham with his son Gray on the back of the álbum playing drums. I thought is was sort of cool having a half brother since I grew up with only a half sister. Today as I was surfing the net I thought I
would try to view some vídeos of Graham on youtube.

. I got through watching about 5 of them until I read some comments about Eleanors death in a fire and Gray´s suicide. I knew that Graham had died in 1998 but had no Idea of the other tragedies. Your comment struck me and although I don´t know you , something told me to write to you and reveal myself for the
first time to anyone outside my immediate family.

@muslim4321 Newspaper Articles at the time of the fire reported that the local fire authorities had ruled the House Fire an accident.

Good friends of mine in Canada mentioned that both are highly talented musicians but at the same token there was drug and alcohol abuse along with adultry. When Graham died Eleanor apparently lost her mind and how strange the house fire that led to her death as well as her granddaughter's death. Weird.
Poor Graham jr. then commits suicide.
Who could have ever see this demise coming. I feel terrible for Graham jr.
I can understand Graham dying from cancer but the rest is simply unbelievable.
