Just west of Kansas City, a nice slow rollby offers a good look at the DD40 and nice view of the passenger cars. But oh gawd what an awful horn, that S3LR should be put out of it's misery. Taken 15April 2008
@crossinggate84 I agree. I think the horn on this locomotive makes hauling passenger cars sound a lot more pleasant. I mean, it fits with the mood of, "Yeah! I have this great new horn and I'm hauling passenger cars behind me! And it works!" You know, that came out wrong. What I meant to say was that that horn + passenger cars = a pretty good combination.

there were 2 dda40xs that were built with sirens only two of them though im not sure if either of those two locomotives survived with the sirens
