didnt you skip the most important part where you load vray preset, that you have allready created? i dont have that preset and sure i can not have your result? :)

i found this tutorial very useful, but I heard it was taboo to scale the vray light. Since the vray light is a physically accurate light i heard it was best to scale the U and V size in the attributes

Last I tested, it is fine to scale a light as long as you use default units. If you switch to lumens or some photometric setting, then there were bugs with scaling the light. Some people make it a habit to only use the u and v attribs,. I even have some light rigs that have a contol object for scaling that actually pipes the scale into the u and v instead. But at my last testing of nightlies back in Dec of 2010, scaling lights with default units is fine.
