Some ideas for those of you who are frustrated and angered by the sham liturgies put on by some parishes now in the Diocese of Rochester.

  • Good to know that the misfits and nutcases aka as 'Trads" are going somewhere else...good riddance!

  • @NativeNewYorkGuy We're not "trads." We're Catholic. We actually just follow what the pope asks us to do, rather than fill the Church with political power-grabbing.

  • Wow. We really sound like car salesmen lol

I had intended to put St. Stanislaus in the video - I guess Louis Armstrong cut me off. I had the photo all set, but it looks like I forgot to actually use it. A but of a "doh" moment for me here.

  • Rome's a schism of the original catholic church (Paul's church, Peter's church, etc...) and did more harm to the world (persecutation of my people in the name of our King [remember we were blinded for your sake], people who, before Luther wanted to be Sola Scriptura, and others) than any other religious group (excluding Islam) in history. Bring on 'rock' masses, they glorify God, as much as strings and drums, flutes and oboes (etc.) in an orchastra glorify God at a Papal Mass. Read psalm 150!

  • @priest008 Before you call me a Judaizer, I am not. I am reform in my Judaism, and Orthodox in my walk with Christ my saviour. I do not keep Kosher, the law, or the traditional Jewish lifestyle, however I maintain a strong Jewish Identity. I worship on Shabbat and the Holiday's (I take the Romans 14 approach as well as the Col. 2 approach), am very active in the Jewish Community (some of which involves evangelizing), Love my homeland, and my people.

  • @priest008 Absolutely. I am a deacon in a Southern Baptist Messianic Fellow Church (We are a Hebrew Christian arm of the Southern Baptist Convention [Canadian National Baptist Convention here in Canada]). I know what you meant by Orthodox, but they (the 'Orthodox' church your church broke off from) are still not quite right.

  • @Menechem So are you now an Orthodox Christian?

  • @priest008 I was born Jewish, adopted and raised catholic, left the church at 16 after studying under my Bishop (since confirmation, the Bishop thaught I was to basic of religious education,so hean I would do seminary level courses),and coming to the conclusion Luther did (Holy Spirit leas),however at the same time I found out I was Jewish and geting more and more involved with Orthodoxy and eventually denounced Christianity.Last Year I came to faith.I know History,Rome is a Schism of Orthodoxy.

  • @priest008 God's ord is His word, as a Baptist I base my faithon it and follow it, but it doesn't mean that there are not metaphires in it and JOhn 6 is one example of this. I'm a strong proponent of Luther and his 5 Solas, as a former Catholic (who does love the latin liturgy as well as the modern liturgy wih the full band [drums, guitars, piano etc.], but is in no way, shape, or form a follower of the churches catechism, believer in its docrines,or dogmas) I claim Luther a hero!Rome's a schism.

  • @priest008 Stop trying to justify your hate. You love your mother, would you call her a bitch? You love your father, would you call him scum? I don't think so, calling your brethren scum is no different. BTW, the Gospels, 1 Corinthians 10-11 state quite clearly that communion IS A MEMORIAL, and Hebrews 9-10 teaches us that Christ Sacrificed himself once for all time. You catholics claim we must never take God's literally, yet you seem to take John 6 literally.

  • @Menechem the hatred I have is not for my brother, but for the sins being committed during such a great sacrifice, a sacrifice that Angels beg to attend, and although they dwell in the heavens we alone have the sole privilege to witness at first account the great miracle of Calvary. I called you 'scum' because I can never tolerate abuses during Holy Mass, I don't mean that I hate you.

  • @priest008 9 The one who says he is in the light but hates his brother is in the darkness until now. 10 The one who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and doesn't know where he's going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. (1 John 2 HCSB).How can you say you know God and spew hate? Shame on you?

  • @priest008 Why are you so filled with hate? You should be ashamed of yourself. Study Scripture, and you'll see that the Church's doctrine does not line up with Scripture (transsubstantion, purgatory, baning women to serve as deacons, elders and overseers [bishops, I refer you to Romans 16 speaks of Prisca, a female pastor, Phoebe, a Female Deacon, and Junia a female Apostle], I'M NOT A LIBERAL "CHRISTIAN" I'M ORTHODOX WHEN IT COMES TO GOD'S INFALIBLE WORD).
