'Boulder to Birmingham' by Emmylou Harris. CC is accompanied by members of the superb harmonising voices of former Daphne's Flight-ists, Helen Watson, Julie Matthews, Chris While, and Chris' daughter Kellie. Thanks to Kieron Jones for this clip, taken at Maureen Jones' Anniversary party, celebrating 40 years of organising gigs at the fabulous Hitchen Folk Club.

Oh, lovely! I am a fan of both Emmylou Harris and Christine Collister (introduced to them when she was paired with Clive Gregson).
Her voice is so dusky and rich. Thanks for putting this up.

Wow, really good. And I'm totally biased with the ELH version! ;)

christine Collister and her campadres do great justice to Emmylou Harris' classic, "Boulder to Birmingham". They even get the "incidental" lyrics correct: "I have come to listen for the sound, of the trucks as they move down, out on 'I' 95...."(as in Interstate 95, the main highway running past Woodbridge, VA., where Emmylou went to high school (and graduated as Valedictorian), and began her musical career.
