The Haifa-Boston Connection was founded in 1989 by business people with the innitial goal of helping the City of Haifa absorb large waves of immigration from the Soviet Union. Personal connections between Haifa residents and members of the Boston Jewish community gradually developed over the years, with hundreds of people presently involved in the Connection.
A Vacation With Soul tells about The Doppelt Mission of 2008, where a group of ten bostonian volunteers came to israel and donated their time and efforts to the various institutes of Haifa
