Man, Ebert must've been really grouchy and irritated in 1983 because he nitpicks every damn "good" movie...Octopussy and Blue Thunder being the most notable. Gene Siskel is supposed to be the grumpy old man!

Mos people agree with Ebert about XTRO, a fucking mess of a film...only appealing factor is the "ick factor". The alien has a damn cougar for a pet, somehow!

I like Octopussy. There are a few silly moments (the circus sequence, for instance) but it has good villains and good locations. And as a kid, that buzzsaw scared the hell out of me.

I think Octopussy is an underrated Bond movie. Moore was solid and lots of fun, Louis Jordan was an entertaining villain, good Cold War plot, and some of the best action scenes in Moore's long tenure. People complain that Moore was too old but I think in this film he just barely manages to get away with it but in AVTAK he looked terrible and so was the movie.
