The Grey Heron can be seen fishing throughout Ireland. Here the Heron is fishing along a Dublin river. The Grey Heron uses a variety of fishing techniques to catch it's prey, this is one of them. The Heron, after a couple of attempts, has caught a young Eel. The Eel is easily Handled by the Heron and is quickly eaten whole and alive.
