  • could you please post the exact ingrediants? i would love to try this recipe!

  • You can find the whole printable recipe (plus over 100 others) at everydaydish(dot)tv

  • Great dish, thanks.

I'm wondering about steaming seitan, instead of boiling or simmering it. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work? I'm assuming it would be a preferred way to make it.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something?

    Thanks again.

  • I myself steam most of of my seitans these days. I haven't tried this recipe steamed, but I can tell you that it's really good boiled.

We have a number of steamed seitan recipes on our website everydaydish(dot)tv

    Thanks!

  • I've never made a seitan roast, so some measurements would be fantastic (and in my case probably very necessary)!!!

  • The recipe can be viewed and printed from the everyday dish website (everydaydish(dot)tv)

    Happy cooking!

  • Thank you, Brian P.. You're saving my life and the lives of animals. :D

  • yes

once i even used a clean apron

  • can you use a normal tea towel instead of a cheese cloth?

  • I made this dish for Thanks-Giving last year. It is awesome, I made my own gravy with Braggs amino acids and flour in the skillet, I didn't wrap it in the covering, but sliced it at an angel and poured the gravy over it and sprinkled with tyme. It tastes fantastic. Even the children were going back for seconds! I needed to rewatch it this year to do it again. The book on the counter with the big V is an excellent book! Any true Vegans will really enjoy this recipe and it was so much fun!!!

  • The glaze is ketchup and water? Really?

  • I'm sorry but that's really disgusting

  • This looks great! Have you ever tried putting anything inside first, such as some sort of stuffing, or rice stuffing? Thanks for your great recipes! :D

  • I think I would put seasioned yubba on the turkey, spray with oil and bake until browned. It makes a very nice skin.

  • Honey, all chicks require OILING - OIL IT!

  • 5 people who a die hard mcdonalds fans have gave thumbs down to this awesome video
