  • Great job so far, Senator! Glad to see you helping crack down on insider trading.

  • Taxes are not preventing businesses from hiring. Businesses are not hiring because they aren't selling enough goods and services. To make matters more unbalanced, only 14 % of people making over $1 million/year are actually job creators.

We did not tax ourselves into a recession. The brokers and banks gambled with other people's money, then lost it all.

  • @9drydock any graduated tax punishes success and job creation, why would anyone want to start a business if their success is met by higher taxes?

  • Senator, I appreciate the popularity of the flat tax. However I would like to point out that a flat tax is the most unfair tax. Wealthy people will pay the same percentage of their income as the poor, which is clearly absurd. Wealthy taxpayers have far more disposable income for living expenses. A teacher will pay a far larger portion of their income in taxes, relative to the cost of living. The graduated tax is the only truly fair system of taxation.

    Thank you.

  • Senator keep up the good work. I think the Agree Act with Accelerated depreciation for new equipment is very important.

There has been a lot of questions on S Bill 1867 and what I have heard and read concerns me very much. I ask that you please take the time to explain why we need this bill. I personally am not willing to give up my right to due process and the protection under our constitution for some perceived threat or false sense of security. Thank You.

  • @onvogmasaj i don't think he will be posting anything about S. Bill 1867 since that would probably sink his chances of being re-elected. The only republicans that voted against this monstrosity is Tom Coburn, Mike Lee and Rand Paul. More eroding of the Constitution.

  • sir can you please clarify what "S. Bill 1867" is?

  • @pup9et I * watch
