  • where might you buy large quantities of fiberglass resin and other chemicals/materials? (for a good price)

  • @pirateDC Sure there are, but they wont be cheap.

  • does anyone know if there are companies or who can you hire to do this work for you????

  • I think even I might be able to do this! Great video -- I may try it (instead of making a plug and mold and then making a body from the mole). Since weight is not a huge factor, this may be the best way to go. Thanks!!

  • @waterwart There are other foams that can be used, but what's commonly known as "styrofoam" is EPS, expanded polystyrene. It's highly soluble in styrene, which is one of the chemicals present in polyester resin. You can use Epoxy and still use EPS, or you can use another formulation of foam, usually polyethylene or another styrene resistant foam instead, but that's not styrofoam.

  • I suggest watching baileyblade's videos

  • It would dissolve, in another video I was told to use venting tape( kinda like duct but it's a shiny metallic)

  • @4thearth I think he said wood strips, but I didn't catch seeing that in the video.

  • @greatandoddogre ya but..they did it. then they didn't say anything about desolving...huh?
