Haggis is a Scottish dish traditionally served with turnips and potatoes, accompanied by a glass of Scotch whiskey, especially as the main course of a Burns Supper on Burns Night.

  • Haggis is lovely! I had the same reservations, but it tastes a peppery (slightly dry due to the oats and barley) mince. The problem is everyones preconceived notions about offal tasting bad. I just wish you all knew what went into your chicken nuggets and paloney (baloney) and mortadella... at least the Scots tell you that you are eating offal!

  • I agree - so gross. I'm part newfoundlander too, and they eat the turnips and potatoes...don't like turnips either. I would never try this in a million years. Hate lamb and liver already....totally disgusting...I'll just drink the bottle of whiskey..

  • I'd love to have some, especially with the little ceremony and all. They'd be pissed though since I want hot sauce on everything.

  • @SneakerRock You have no idea how wrong you are.

  • that is so freaking disgusting.....yuk.
