Yes, on the contrary there WAS a colour version of this pie chart - briefly glimpsed in the early 70s before the animated diamonds came along to replace it..... even the tune (woodblock/flute and poppy hammond/celeste keyboard one - don't know the titles I'm afraid ) were used for the pie chart one before this disappeared.

i think i have that tune somewhere stored on my pc,

This was a mock-up posted on a TV mock-ups website a few years back. The site's gone now, so at least it can be seen again :)

I'm still convinced that I saw this pie-chart in colour back in 1971 when I was at playgroup with some xylophone type music.
-
Actually, I'm sure there was a colour pie-chart, I remember seeing it at Playgroup when I was 4, in 1972.

The Pie Chart was used until October 1973. It was never in colour, even though programmes like Words and Pictures, Look and Read and Scene were by then.
Sorry to disappoint, but this isn't real. There was never a colour piechart. It's a mock by Dave Jeffery and Rory Clark. YouTube 'stupidrubbish' to see more of Dave's work. Love the music on this though, need to ask them what it is....
