Feb 2012 HD 720p DJ Mix Set Nadia Ali Starkillers Pressure & Joey Negro Must be the Music Britney

Tracklist below! - Welcome to our new 2012 release 3-track Quickmix set. This kicks off with a remake of an old Britney club track 'Gimme More', given a harder edge courtesy of some KORG KP3 effects and a good bassline replacement and mash with Must be the Music once we get into it after a minute and a half. There is then a pretty amazingly good sounding minute or two as the two tracks blend together beautifully. Must be the Music inevitably takes over completely upon it's bassdrop, however it is then remixed again using two decks and the KP3. Further fading into Pressure at a really aggressive moment this mash as it fades across also sounds great. Track list and some info on the setup used to produce:

I'm particularly proud of this release as it was created entirely on hardware devices, namely we've moved to using only Vestax VCI100mk2 decks, a ProFX8 (Mackie) mixer and the KAOSS pad for effects. The mixer receives an output from the Audigy for each deck at 48khz/studio qual and then performs the mixing, its tape output for recording is then fed back into an input to the Audigy at 48khz for recording loopback. The KP3 isnt on the effects signal but on its own channel so I can use it in either direct or send mode depending on my mood/requirements. This setup has come together great and the sound quality is second to none. there is NO noise on the output at all, totally dead sound floor, and with a hugely good SNR the Audigy2ZS Plat/pro (Audigy4) is a good solution as its external box has a large number of line ins and outs. Still using Virtual DJ Pro 7 and CoolEdit for level checking and final amplification adjustments on the wave before publishing to the MPEG/Here.
I LOVE the way this turned out....and Pressure is just an amazing track. And Britney looks hot in this pic. :) Ah if only she could get back to th at! hopefully.
Enjoy this mix as it has been a long week and a half adjusting from doing everything in software to everything in hardware and ive spent a lot of time and money and effort working kinks out and ensuring connectors are right and removing any noise artifacts from the system.
Above all....GLAD TO BE BACK MIXING in 2012 after 2 weeks getting to grips with new studio equipment!!!
