As much as I hate marketing, this ad is a marketing win for Chrysler!

And besides that helps my initial statement... a shitty car is a shitty car.

You don't have to watch every episode of Top Gear to know that a the badge means next to nothing when compared to where it's made. Back then, the slobbering UAW states couldn't make a car that would go 10 feet. Today it's almost the opposite and the UAW is keeping people from starving to death, but back then it was shit.

In 1978 PSA Peugeot Citroën bought Chrysler Europe. After the buyout, PSA (Peugeot) built and sold the Chrysler Talbot Horizon for Europe (Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon in North America) until the end of production. So in a way, if you were to buy a Peugeot built car in Europe, you could actually be buying a Chrysler.

Lee talks about "quality," and he stands in front of an oil burning Mitsubishi powered Dodge Caravan

He's still alive at 88. He is definitely a legend in the car industry, and yes I own a Chrysler.

No. He said if there was a better car, I should buy it.

Lee turned an almost defunct automaker into one of the most competitive in the world. And then the morons that came after him practically ruined the company.
