Original Piano Piece ~ 夏から秋に (From Summer to Autumn)

Inspiration received a week ago while playing around on the piano at church. I added some stuff, fixed it all together, and now I can say, that this song is an attempt to express my current feelings.

Summer vacation has ended for most people, right, but not for me. I have 20 days left. 20 days until my first day of classes as a freshman in college. Frankly, I'm terrified and dreading that day. I'm trying to slow down time, stop the seasons from changing (first day of autumn is 2 days before the 1st day of school) because I'm a wimp, absolutely afraid of growing up, holding responsibilities, starting on higher education. I won't go into details, but... I just wanted to share my song with anyone who wanted to stop and listen :) I'm just hoping that when summer does, inevitably, flow into autumn, I can be brave... whoever who feels like me, like this too, can be brave, and autumn (representing change, college, growing up...) will be beautiful, with my family, and happy...

hi again! i love this song so much! there's strong oriental flavours and japanese tones in this piece. asi i listen to this piece, i imagine myself at a japanese festival held by one of those japanese shrines in a lovely yukata but first i go to the shrine to pray for my loved ones and write my wishes on one of those wooden cards. and after touring the festival, i saw this lovely garden and the leaves changed colour rapidly to bright yellows and reds from greens. love this song, it's absolutely beautiful and really emotional. Makes me remember all the time I spend back in my home country before study abroad in Canada.

Although it's the end of my first semester in college already, I felt the same way as you did about going into college... I was really terrified and I'm still afraid of growing up. Freedom is definitely nice, but there are a ton of more responsibilities... hope you're having fun in college!

for now im just living it like i do AND with way more freedom to do it.
