In this video I'm on day 7 of recovery from my electrolysis procedure. The swelling is still there but fairly minimal.

Just talking about the doubt I was having during that particular time. It was after having a long conversation with my mother and being around family that activated these thoughts.

  • It sounds to me that your issues around transition aren't so much with transitioning itself, but rather the problems that creates with society. Which is understandable, I'd be surprised if it didn't happen and I can only imagine what it'd be like in your situation. And transitioning in the direction you are, in the career you're in with family still just getting used to who you are?

You don't have to do it all at once, take the time you need to deal and process.

  • @NethDugan That is really good advice. And I've slowed down a bit. I definitely bit off more than I could chew just starting out. Now that everything is settling I think I'm coping a little bit better.

  • Hey girl, you're not alone. I'm also a young black trans-woman and I was so sure about my transition in the beginning as well, but I slowly started becoming unhappy while I was living full-time and this is why I started questioning my transition. I think us trans-women have to sacrifice a lot just to be who we are and people can be really judgemental (even our own fam). Despite the challegnes I face on a daily basis, I made the decision to continue b/c I owe it to myself.

  • @sunkissedbeauty20 Wow this is dead on how I feel haha. Thank you so much for your comment.

  • I think it's perfectly natural to have doubts about whatever major decisions you make in life - getting married, having a baby, buying a house, a car, a pair of shoes! LOL!

Remember too, this might just be your hormones talking. XXX

  • @kwraikarn SO TRUE lol!

  • I hope that my words will help you I use to be in that lifestyle if you commune with god for a while before making any more decisions q he will make it all worth it I have been delivered for 3 years now I've never felt anything that compares to jesus he's calling his people and I hope it will answer god bless you

  • @throughneweyes Don't give up your goals. I would advise you to take time & let your life evolve on its own pace. You're asking your body to make instant changes that your mind dreams about & when the changes don't meet your expectations you get frustrated. Slow even keel, Mind & Body... Family & Friends need to see you embracing q healthy & safe transition.

When I talk about safety. I'm worried about you putting yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time for "Young Ladies".

  • @NethDugan Yeah I gave it some strong consideration (reenlisting) and decided against it. But if they ever allows us in then I will probably rejoin. I'd probably join the Air Force though lol.

  • @rbkiggreen Definitely trying :)

  • @FirehouseMike I always like reading your post Mike :).

  • @reyna525 Thank you so much for your comment. And you're so right! I'm still going through this full steam ahead :).
