One of my favourites was when Mats Sundin scored the last second goal against Carolina in the 2002 playoffs -
"...Right in front...scramble...SCORES!! THE LEAFS HAVE TIED THE GAME!! AND THE PLACE GOES CRAZY!!"
-
Desjardins ready!... Schneider ready!... Desjardins... no shot!... On the outside.... Desjardins shot... SCOOOOOOOORRRRRRRE!!! THEY HAAAAAAAAAVE TIED IT!!!
An epic call by a HHOF voice like ONLY Bob Cole has. I discovered HNIC on CBC back when I moved from L.A. to Port Townsend, Washington (yes, a border state) in 1987, and was fortunate to get CBUT Channel 2 in Vancouver on cable here (before getting a dish) and have always known HNIC has the best coverage and Bob Cole is a huge part of it.

This is beautiful. I see ONE comment belittling Bob and it looks so ridiculous that it isn't getting any attention at all.
Well done all.

Bob Cole + Overtime HAD to have caused heart attacks. I watched all these clips live and I think I smell burning toast now!...lol

Cole is a legend.

Fortunate to have grown up here in Michigan with CBC on Channel 9. Having Bruce Martyn & Budd Lynch do Wings' games. Bill Hewitt, Danny Gallivan, Don Wittman on HNIC. Bob Cole ranks right there with them. One of the alltime best! And thanks for not having Borshevsky's goal on here. Seen that one TOO many times....haha. Breaks my heart everytime.

Where is his legendary call on crosby's playoff hat trick goal?!
-
Cole has become useless now. He can't keep up with the play on the ice. The CBC needs to fire him.
-
The best is from the Gold Medal Game in 2002 when Iginla scores and he shouts "GORE!"

Bob Cole is awesome. Best commentator I've ever heard.
Jim Hughson is great too, but every time I hear him call a game, I keep thinking I'm playing a video game.
Legend. Voice of hockey.

Sick post. Absolutely love Bob Cole. Grew up with that voice and his great calls. I could care less if he gets the names wrong once in awhile. Who cares, its about portraying the feeling of the game and the atmosphere of the rink he is in so everyone can feel like their in attendance. Best ever, no one else has a sniff.
