  • How does "no god=no accountability for your actions?"

We have a very small chance at long term survival. It might be impossible. However, blind faith in a god or gods to save us is not going to help. We need to make hard decisions utilizing concrete information, not magical thinking.

  • the reason for debating is too make the world a better place for us and our children...and no...we are not telling people that there are no implications for their actions there are social implications, in fact I believe that because my life is so short and there is no afterlife I better do all that I can too not end up in prison or on death row because if that happens I will effectively screw up the ONLY time I have in existence :| and I don't get an eternity too play around in :|

  • We try to convince people that there is no God because religion is one of the major causes of evil in the world and because they are holding back science firstly I don't agree with you that there is no science fact, look at gravity...and the only reason evolution is still considered a theory, is because of...you guessed it...creationist with no scientific evidence too support their claims...and have you ever lost consciousness?(like when you sleep) that's what happens when you die...(continued)

  • @truetoreality i never said that ALL hatred and bigotry is derived from religion, however its a clear fact that a large majority of global conflicts (histrorically and presently) and religiously based

  • @kostaki112 Sorry, apparently my comments were somewhat misleading (just trying to notify of gross generalization); actually I agree with you in that religions can be more harmful than mere atheism. But to conclude that all violence, hatred, bigotry and discrimination, as you listed, among humans would be solely results of religion... would be only naive. Since the beginning of human race we have been marked by our corrupt nature, and by any means, denying the existence of god will not fix that.

  • @truetoreality and who gives a fuck about the teachings of jesus? if someone needs a fairytale book such as the bible to teach them right from wrong then that person has serious issues

  • @truetoreality and of course im going to take examples from islam and christianity for the simple reason that followers of both religions combine for half the worlds population therefor, having a massive impact on the identity of religion as a whole..eradicate religion and violence, hatred, bigotry and discrimination will be eliminated in turn...this irrational and superstitious theology/mythology has done our world enough harm...

  • @truetoreality the killings may have not been carried out in the name of christianity, however there is great evidence to prove that they were carried out in spite of islam therefore making it a religious issue...the point is that religion has caused a lot more suffering in the world compared to atheism.. i dont recall anyone killing in the name of atheism actually..
