Everyone is always bitching at Damon for "betraying" the Sox; please. More like the Sox betrayed Damon, that's what the dumb Sox idiots who scream betrayal don't know. Damon wanted to sign with the Sox; he wanted a 5 year contract (or 6 years, can't remember which) and he wanted to finish out his career in Boston. However, the greedy Sox owners didn't want to give him that, and basically said, screw you Johnny we'll only give u three, thanks for the championship. He was hurt, so he bit back.
