His age and poor defense has gotten in the way...including the monetary issues. The Yanks and us fans are pleased as punch for the four fantastic years he provided he actually lived up to his billing. A younger, speedy Gardner is passable in the 9th spot....as the Yankees have gotten younger over the last two years as well as steadied the budget and gotten better. Next year should be fun, the Red Sox look like they've bettered their lineup also.

I love the Sox but I really hope for Yankees fans that their team will resign Damon who is an exciting and very likable player. I enjoy seeing him in the Sox-Yankees games.
