I have the wireless ones that come with the USB bluetooth dongle thingy. worth the money and got them this christams that passed. I use them for COD and Battlefield and listening to music.
Only thing is after a while you have to charge them via the usb cable that the PS3 dualshock uses. the surround sound thing you are talking about only works on games with the Dolby surround sound capability.

@Aryan96A a ps3 headset will look like a total piece of shit and will cost $20, things made for consoles are made to break because most people who have consoles dont understand computers and Sony / Microsoft are the only ones ALLOWED to make even slightly working products for them, its marketing... dont expect much good to come out of it

usually sony headset has only red accent in the right side of the headset to indicate that it is Right side, I have only regular SONY Stereo headset and used it for gaming and it so awesome....

i just bought it but it ain't as good as i thought. The sound is not as intensiv as with my old 20€ headset which was from thypoon. Do someone know how to increase bass or getting better soundquality ?

lol.. the reason for the red markings on the one side is so that you can tell which side of the headphone is right and which is left without having to look for the little L or R..
