@Trouble44698 thats because those have huge engine and a supercharger is instant... those cars dont want turbo lag...Teams experience pressure because sponsors expect them to win. In such a situation experimenting is a no go. Using proven methods is the way to get sponsors to give you money. Blowers are reliable. The technology is readily available and the risk of dropping out due to mechanical failure can be reduced.

@Tj1056 ???depends on the application...centrifugal superchargers are right there with turbos. top fuel would have been surpassed by a unlimited turbo class if turbo's were the best way to go...A huge roots type blower running huge overdrive makes massive gains...while costing hp they provide immediate response and big big top end when run at a overdrive of 40% or more.

That's the reason why you see so many 03-04 cobra owners run Twinscrew's nowadays instead of running turbo's, also the new awesome twinscrews that been available in the market for a while (whipple 3.4, KB mammoth, behemoth inlets) can make similar performance gain when compare to the hellion kit. turbo kit isn't worth the money.
