The video few have heard of and even fewer have seen. Daigo, one of the greatest fighting game champions of all time, does it again by parrying a 17-hit combo from Justin, playing as Chun-li, perfectly and finishing her with Ken's Shippuu Jinrai Kyaku.

The left player (male char) has very few hit points left and is about to lose. The right player pops an "super combo finish", which the left player blocks PERFECTLY. The thing with normal blocking is that a small amount of damage "bleeds" through the block, so EACH hit would have killed the left player - unless you do "tech blocking" which means hitting the block in the right direction at the specific moment the blow lands. Left player does this 17 times in a row with frame precision. Jaws drop.

The game runs at 30 frames a second. In order to parry a move, you need to press the opposite directional button from a regular block within 3 frames of that move connecting. Within a tenth of a second. In the heat of the moment, Daigo successfully did this seventeen times. 1 / 10th a second timing per impact, 17 times in a row, maintained his composure, and won the match.

Justin is Korean - American and lives a highly successful life. Daigo is a huge celebrity in his home country and published author. Both have made money enough to live off from tournaments and have paid sponsorships. Never could a stereotype be more wrong.

Over the last twenty years Daigo has rarely ever lost. To the point, if someone beats Daigo, even now, from that point on it goes on their resume that they defeated Daigo. Defeating Daigo is something all competitive players aspire to. Daigo's dominance over fighting games is like Tiger Wood's over golf.

I'm not a fighting game fan in the least (button masher) but I still really love this clip. The amazing skill coupled with some of the most genuine sounding cheering I've ever heard. Must have been quite the experience.
