  • Have you ever been told that you look like Derek Jeter from the New York Yankees?

Also thanks for the vid. I'm trying to learn about the wooden dummy a bit before I get one.

  • @poopwillington Hey PW never by a hot lady in bar :-). Thanks for the feedback and comment. The dummy will never replace a live training partner but it def helps with angles/consistent/constant pressure. The half dummy is a cheap way to get started since you can get one on ebay for under $200. Even though I have a fully dummy, I sometimes use a plastic crate/plaster tub or something about that height to act as the knee/leg for the half dummy. Good luck in your training.

  • Thanks for the post. It gives me insight into how to train with the wooden dummy.

  • @laro727 Hi and thanks for the feedback. The wooden dummy is definitely great to train the basic movements. I try as much as possible to train with a live person to get the real feel for the actions/force but we dont always have people around to do that so the Wooden Dummy is a great tool to get your basic actions down, train distance and position :-). I will be uploading more videos soon focusing more on the Wooden Dummy.

  • Thanks for the feedback. If you had watched the entire video and thought about it for a few seconds, you could have answered your question yourself. It is called 6 + 1 because the +1 is a set of actions generally taught in the next level of Wing Chun. The inside Pack sau. The first 6 concentrated on being on the outside of your opponent while the +1 focuses on the inside.
