  • LOL BigVEE you sure say more than what is neccessary. Eight comments in a roll and with no responces? For God's sakes man.

Anyway, about the video. It rocks. Simple as that.

  • It seems I've caught up with you in my melee only run. For the sake of knowing where foes appear before they do so, I'll have to switch over to watching projectz3 now. I don't like surprises, but I do like making my own tactics for a given encounter. When I do get around to a flamethrower One-Gun, I'm sure the places I'll be using ammo are where it becomes too much to simply abuse stasis, kinesis and melee. Here's to hoping I can last another chapter or so like this.

  • NOTE: Nice handling. Somehow I wasn't expecting the loss of a tail to make it leap prone...

5:41 You really are a madman...

That weak ass melee response jump was strange. Were you not expecting it the first time? You adapted quickly if that is the case.

I wasn't expecting such an end handling. Definately good though.

  • 3:44 It annoys me that this object seems to be a class 1 (doesn't stun and deals light, if any, damage). Do you know if it does anything? If the case were that it made an object burn longer/harder, it would be amusing. Or even if they could be used as extra flamefuel...

It seems better to stick to primary on a leaper until you burn on of the arms off then use secondary. Unless it can be made a one-on-one deal. You've shown Melee to be quite effective as such.

    3:58 HA!

  • At least I already know it does a pretty good job on the Leviathan (easy boss) and Kinesis usage for the pods bit is easy. I haven't gotten to try Slugger or Hive Mind yet (the latter seems really weak to strafing). Pity it's pretty well noted you aren't going to be able to do much with the flamethrower there. Once I get some manner of organized presentation for note keeping, I'll start my own run. I just don't like doing it without full coverage *too much work* though.

  • NOTE: You seem a bit more serious about how you present yourself in play while projectz will do some amusing things (shaking his head when talked to, stomp in frustration/fear, kinesis crush skulls, toss bodies over cliffs/into holes/at environmental hazards, etc.). Personality showing through play tends to amuse me.

Were I doing this segment, I'd focus more on avoiding flamethrower usage unless 'forced'. Escape, Melee, Environmental aid, etc. before using it even if upgraded.

  • So I used the crates at the entrance *they being of the class that can knock lesser foes on their ass while usually haulting an approaching brute* to beat it into a state where it will cover up. Then abuse the stasis refill while stomp whoring until it loses a limb such that I can kinesis the 'pod' back. I've still got work to do in pulling of what you and projectz have shown thus far, but I'm learning.

  • I'll have my first run soon enough (Impossible One-Gun Plasma Cutter). I suppose I should allow myself upgrades (lvl1, 3 and 5 suit plus Nodes). I'll have to put some work into figuring out the various weapons (mostly the flamethrower). All in good time. Specialty Runs should be just lovely.

In my test go of the second Brute, I had issues with getting the Melee only approahc right and even some trouble landing stomps properly in Stasis *later I would aim for legs instead*.

  • I've only played bits and pieces thus far. Leaper melee only isn't too hard (still working on keeping safe when they have both arms and use their leaps), but some of the other melee only cases are a bit more of a bother. Stasis can make it all much easier, but there are little things to know about either case. I didn't see it in your video, but the withdraw of a slasher strike can hurt and attacks in stasis still hit for full damage. At least I'm learning the 'levels' of kinesis objects.
