Wedding Reception
Nick watched as Joe and Sydney danced with each other to the song 'At Last' by Etta James, as he sat at the head table. It disgusted him how perfect they were, and how perfect this lavish fairytale wedding reception was. He hated all of this but what he hated most was that while he was alone so was Grace. But he couldn't do anything about that, she was over at the other end of the table watching everyone while drinking her champagne. She looked content so why bother her? Kevin sat besides him then drank some of him champagne.
Nick:Hey, where's Danielle?
Kevin:In the bathroom. You know, I can tell you're staring at Grace. You need to talk to her.
Nick:No, I don't. What would I say? I mean I dumped her. I've broken her heart so many times that I should just leave her alone.
Kevin:What you need to do is catch the bouquet. I've seen her eying it all night. You need to catch it and give it to her. That's romantic. But you have to say something cleaver and sweet or you'll just like creep.
Even though Kevin totally ignored him, he knew Kevin's advice was right. But if he had to speak to Grace he had to speak to Natalie.
Nick:If I have to do that, you'll have to go and have a legitimate conversation with Natalie.
Nick smiled as he watched his brother take it all in, Kevin hasn't spoken to Natalie in years. But there was a first for everything. After a few seconds Kevin shot back a 'Fine.' to his brother, stood up and left.
Kevin walked up to Natalie who was sitting at another table holding and feeding Kate. He sat in a chair and waited until she looked up and when she did she looked surprised. It started with 'Hellos' and rolled from there.
Kevin:How have you been?
Natalie:Good. How about you?
Kevin:I'm good.
It was quiet for a moment and Kevin knew Nick was watching, so far this wasn't a conversation.
Natalie:Look, I'm so sorry for everything that happened. I was just stupid-
Kevin:Natalie, it's fine. We both moved on, and look now you have a beautiful baby girl.
This made Natalie smile and look down at Kate then back up to him. Maybe this conversation thing wasn't going to be as hard as he thought it was going to be.

Once Nick heard the catching the bouquet toss was about to happen in a minute, he stood up and went into the crowd of girls. Even though he was surrounded by desperate women he was excited to do this. It was as if somehow once he stepped into the crowd he became one of the many competitive women who desperately needed to catch the bouquet. Sydney looked back into the crowd one more time then threw the bouquet. All the girls jumped trying to get it but it all passed them and went into the row Nick was in. It was flying right to him until a woman in a blue dress threw her arm up in his face trying to catch it. He hesitated then made his move. Nick pushed her away with a swift movement of his right hip, jumped.....and caught it! When he did he couldn't help but smile at his achievement.
Sydney:Oh my God, Nick. That was great, I mean I haven't seen anyone go to the lenght to get a bouquet.
Nick:Ha, thanks. Not to be rude or anything but I have something to do.
They said their goodbyes then Nick walked up to Grace who was still at the head table still drinking her champagne. He set the bouquet down and looked at her. She looked at the flowers then at Nick who was half smiling.
Nick:This is for you.
Grace:Wow, I sure that woman in the blue dress was going to get it. Did you see her? She looked crazy.
Nick:Well, I pushed her to make sure she couldn't grab it.
Grace laughed while he sat down in the chair next to her. This whole catching the bouquet thing was going to work, he knew he had to thank Kevin later. After about ten minutes of talking Grace moved in closer to him and looked into his eyes.
Grace:I missed these conversations so much.
Nick:Me too, but to be honest what I really missed was-
Grace:You.
And after that somehow the two made it in a janitors closet to make out. While they made out Kevin was still talking to Natalie sharing stories of the past laughing now and again. Then there was Sydney and Joe who were dancing once again.
Joe:I love you.
He dipped down and kissed her tender lips holding on to every second of this night.
Tonight we are kings and queens. No, not everyone stayed together but that's what happens when you take chances. If you don't take a chance once in a while life will pass you by. If you don't take a chance you might not meet the one person you thought would be impossible to meet. If you don't take a chance you might not become a model. If you don't take a chance you might not find your true love. Yes taking a chance means taking a risk and going out of you're comfort zone and might not getting what you expected. But that's the beauty of it, life is about not knowing. Take a chance and live.

omg i LOVED it, i cant believe its over, usually id say that about movies and stories but the only thing that makes me feel like this is wen i finished harry potter and wen it finally hit me hannah montana is ending, this story is so amazing omg i feel like crying hehe i feel stupid too :P

I've only caught up on this story again (sorry for not commenting I was to into the story to pause and write a comment) Absolutely amazing story!! So sad it over now( Ive been reading it since it was on the other channel
Nick pushing the women out of the way to catch the bouquet for Grace was so funny. I was in knots of laughter, but it was also so adorable!!
So glad every one is on good terms now. Sydney&Joe got married, yay its about time! And Kevin&Natalie talking again. Brilliant ending :)
