I graduated from OP in '04. My first two years we had a 7 class schedule and my junior year switched to block scheduling. Everyone freaked out over it at first, but I truly believe that block scheduling prepares students much more for college. a great number of Asian and European schools use a system similar to block scheduling and has proved to be MUCH MORE beneficial to them.
