It's sad to know the cause was due to an open window in the control room, What a tragic mistake, At least now they have training for off shore platforms.
Today, Feb-15-2009, twenty seven years after the tragedy there was a moment of silence on the rig, a prayer and a wreath laid in memory of the individuals who perished that night.
This ceremony takes place every year on Feb.-15 on every offshore installation off the coast of eastern Canada in memory of our fellow rig workers. God Bless all of them and their families.
From the crew of the Henry Goodrich drilling off the coast of Newfoundland Canada.

It sank near the Titanic. I heard it on Disasters Of The Century. They sank in the same waters.
