  • Did you make this song?It is really good.I had to sing it for my school. It is really easy.I really like it!

  • or send it to me? i can't find any decent instrumental version of this song.

  • did you happen to have the minus1 of this song? please post. thanx!

  • the days when I were a treble.

  • @plumpuff6 Yep, he sang the title role in the opera The Little Prince. His voice worked well for that role.

  • I'm used to this being sung by Canterbury Cathedral Choir under David Flood (the CD is Canterbury Carols, highly recommended). That rendition is beautiful; this is OK, but he's a bit strained on the high notes. His plain rendition and young sound give an 'innocent' impression that fits the rather syrupy words. But this carol sung by a solo treble is a little much for me to take I guess. Ensemble singing with adult male voices as well as boys' can make it moving rather than sickly-sweet.

  • I just love this awesome song! <3

  • @organisten Perhaps I did not make myself clear (that weird English double negative is to blame). Yes of course I agree. It is commonly remarked by English and Canadian boys that singing is for sissies. The English are trying to overcome this attitude with some success. I would refer you to a BBC program entitled "The Choir"

  • @ifuliki not true. As one of the boys in Libera put it, all boys have this gift... its just they don't know the can. And there is a deplorable culture now where boys just don't sing, and adults make things worse by making them think that "it's too high".... not realizing that the boy's voice is uniquely adapted precisely to singing the higher tones. And there are just as many English, African, German boys who have superb quality.... it's just they don't sing!

  • Awesome <3
