@Yakerina The drawing tools menu (the orange part at the very top in my video) will appear when you click the word art and then vanish when you deselect it. This is the same for a lot of things in Office 2010 such as tables and pictures. You can try it yourself by putting a picture into a document, selecting it and then deselecting it, you will see the picture menu at the top appear and vanish. Hope that helps.

Thank you. The case of the vanishing rainbow art is partially solved. (The other menu sporadically appears and I have yet to figure out why)
