New York police officers may be given a sharp rap over the knuckles for allegedly heavy-handed tactics against 'Occupy Wall Street' protesters. And it's this video, taped last Friday, that gave ground for one of the inquiries. The officer, thought to be a deputy inspector, was filmed grabbing an activist from behind, punching him in the face, and knocking him to the ground. An independent agency that deals with complaints against New York's police says it's also looking into an officer using pepper spray on peaceful female protesters. The campaign against big business and banking in the U.S. has entered its fifth week. And as RT's Lucy Kafanov reports, the movement is becoming more and more popular.

  • @CountryCool71 When you say 'do as it wished', did you mean 'do as it wished' within the law or 'do as it wished' with acts against the law ? Of course police officers should be on hand as public servants to uphold the law but not to engage in acts against the law on a member of the public.

  • @Censeo Yes I know, forgive me, I had socialism and Socialist confused. In the English Language, Socialism sounds like socialist but worded differently for a different purpose, like Catholic and Catholicism.

  • Time to open up those FEMA camps I guess since they're going to be running out of jail space soon.

  • @shadowhunter388 Those governments called themselves socialist, but were not socialist. Socialism is what Canada, France, Japan, and Germany have at the present day.

  • Liberty Plaza is the real name of the park. The name was changed to Zucotti when it was illegally sold to private investors by the city.

  • @ajudxb We didn't kill Gadhafi you fool, The Libyans did.

  • @shadowhunter388 The European countries, especially the northern European countries are social economic countries. With social safety net doesn't come high unemployment. It has been proven in practice. America is not capitalistic by the way. It will be when companies have equal opportunity on the market. If banks and large coorporations get welfare money from taxpayers while other companies do not. It is not an equal opportunity market, hence not capitalistic.

  • @ajudxb Fight for Socialism?! Are you that fucking stupid, I mean my omfg are you that dumb!? Go read some fucking history, You think Capitalism is bad wait till you see Socialism, Ever heard of Nazi Germany, North Korean Dictator, and you are going to come here and say "Fight for Capitalism" Get the fuck out of America if you live in it and get a flight to north Korea.

  • Yeah, protesting peacefully, as well as causing a big disturbance.

  • @ajudxb that's a load of crap.
