Ladies & Gentleman ... Let me introduce to you - in a new light - Judy Garland. In RARE recordings from 1960, Judy was once again sitting down with a writer to tell her story. The book was never completed, but the recordings are still here ... now ... for you to listen to & perhaps get to know her a little better. Judy talks about her early years in Minnesota, her family, & childhood anecdotes. You will learn something new about the Woman behind the talent. Judy gave us many gifts ... here's one more that hasn't been opened yet.
This is JUST JUDY (& a writer) talking about her life. The Truth is always so much more interesting ... hearing about Judy's life from her, in her own words.
A side note: I had a rough time getting my original concept into video format. It was photos & audio only. The thread kept breaking while creating the video media. ... not just once or twice ... at least a dozen times! & I couldn't figure out why. I gave up tonite, for a moment, & started watching some other videos here. Picked up on one of my favorites 'I Don't Care'. Watched it ... & suddenly I knew what I needed to do. It was one of those inspiration moments where everything flowed.
I had to add a clip from the beginning & end of 'I Don't Care'! You'll understand why. ... Then, I had no problems converting to video. SMILE. I could feel Judy looking at me & saying: 'That's marvelous. Now you have it right.'
A strange thought, but ... maybe this is the message she wants everyone to hear.

  • I was born and grew up in a little Minnesota town called Wrenshall which is about 85 miles from Judy's birthplace of Grand Rapids. I've been in Grand Rapids many, many times and it is a charming and beautiful little town. It's interesting to hear her speak of Duluth and all these places I grew up in and around!

  • I always love to hear about the connections that Judy makes in peoples lives & hearts. It adds such a personal touch to everything & everyone she touched. Thank you.

  • Lovely. Judy has so much class and grace. Quite humble and natural...but so eloquent. She clearly adored those brief years of idyllic childhood. And she was always a splendid raconteur.

  • You say something here that is so true. Not many seem to realize that Judy was very humble, self-deprecating, did not like to talk about herself. She never forgot where she came from.

  • Thank You so much for posting this recording. There's nothing like hearing Judy's story from her own mouth. It gives her fans a much clearer image of the "true" Judy. Looking forward to everything else that you share. Thanks.

  • I like clear images ... Judy's has been blurry for far too long ... What she says here & in the future posts of this recording will hopefully give a voice to her ... literally in her own words.

    Thanks for watching & sharing!

  • i like hearing her talk about her childhood

  • L-E-G-E-N-D.

  • Judy had a way of weaving her magic into people's hearts. ... Tonite, I will be working on Part 2 of this recording. It will probably take me a few days.Judy has been waiting a long time to be heard, not just as a phenomenal talent, but to be known better as a person.

  • It's wonderful too see new material (that I can never get enough of) making its way to us. I fell in love with Judy on my first viewing of Oz (1962) on a B&W set. I was six years old. I remember crying when it was over - because I would have to wait an entire year to see her again. I didn't get to watch her show because we watched Bonanza only. When she passed away - I mourned for a year. Since that time, I have heard/seen/owned most available material on her - thank you for this!
