I'm not sure if it's because of injury or what? But Pounced has not raced one time since winning the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf in November, 2009. He's got 4 lifetime starts. With 2 wins and 2 place. Seem's a very talented colt on the turf. He ran 2nd at Longchamp to Siyouni in the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on the Arc De Triomphe under-card. I'd like to see this colt back on the track in 2011, since he didn't race one time as a 3yr.old in 2010. JMO.
@BigBrown2332 I've seen him run a couple of times this year in 5.5F races. He set a track record in his last race at Monmouth, he was really flying. His connections are hopefully and probably aiming for the BC Turf Sprint this year. I definitely agree that he was really moving well at the top of the stretch; when I was watching this I thought he might power away, but the distance proved too much for him to maintain that speed, and Pounced came and got him. Exciting 2-year-old race.
he just has a hard time wanting to stay too far back in 5furlongs to where he cant make enough ground in time.
and if he goes a mile the horses get away from him.so hes a very difficult horse to find a spot with.but i love riding him.and i tell veryone the same thing.he has the BEST personality a horse can have.we stand on the rail in the morning.and when its time to gallop he bites my foot.i sure do love ledley
Pounced ran 2nd in a race in France as a 2yr.old where Dick Turpin was well beaten. Dick Turpin has since turned into one of the top 3yr.old milers in Europe. Rivaled only by his stablemate, Canford Cliffs.
@DesertDevilsKY what distance u think he'll like. I think he only wants 6/7 furlongs..mile tops..from what I've seen of him over here in Ireland.. i thought his 5f start was too short and his next race too long...i'd like to see him over 6/7... what u think?
Bridgetown will make a really great sprtinter/miler, he was going really fast at the top of the lane. The expirience wil help him as he races more, but he'll run good again.

@eblp4life I agree with you, he is a very exceptional horse, I hope he does well at the Breeders Cup, because I think he's very talented.
