Sammons Cancer Center, Dallas, Texas, speaking at ASCO 2009: PARP Inhibitor BS-201 Plus Chemotherapy May Offer New Treatment Option for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer: A randomized Phase II study, featured in ASCOs plenary session, shows that women with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer who received the investigationalPARP inhibitor BSI-201, in combination with conventional chemotherapy, lived significantly longer and experienced significantly better progression-free survival than women who received standard chemotherapy alone.

  • I AM A mTNBC PATIENT WHO JUST BEGAN THIS CLINICAL TRIAL 8-10-2010. I AM PRAYING THIS HELPS. I AM NOT A BRCA1. HOWEVER, THEY ARE TELLING ME THIS WILL HELP. I CERTAINLY HOPE THAT CARBO AND GEMZAR ALONG WITH THE PARP DO HELP. BEEN GOING THROUGH CHEMO AND SURGERY FOR 5 YEARS. TIRED OF WAKING UP DEALING WITH CANCER EVERY DAY. I WANT MY LIFE BACK AND NEED TO HAVE A SENSE OF NORMAL AGAIN. I ALSO WANT TO BE CANCER FREE TO HAVE A BREAST IMPLANT SO I CAN FEEL SEXY AND WEAR MY REGULAR BLOUSES.
