    Because they don't know shit. This airplane would probably fall at a 45 degree slope. The blades dont seem as if the would continue spinning, definitely if it is a gas powered setup. Even so this craft would not glide due to the massive drag or a huge airfoil and the out of wack center of gravity once the engine stops.

  • how efficient is this? better than "standard" prop? yes, and what about that engine cut? I think that drag would kill most of forward speed, what could result in poor lateral stability, and wind could trip the plane over... or not? teach me.

  • nice work Ive thought about doing something like that - there are old kite designs that use this principle too. it flys so well-almost hovers - now u make dihedral or helicopter - I am certain
