@joesten63 thanks for the clarity and the revelation of the truth, because up till today i always thought kane was the creator, since his name always shown in batman movies, 'batman created by bob kane'. to be frank, i had never heard of bill finger, the real creator which you claim.

@joesten63 Batman WAS originally his idea, although Finger did give him tips on changing the wings for a cap and the mask for a cowl, he still to this day gives all credit to Kane for the creation of Batman.

@mymonkay No, its because he stole the rights to a character that was largly Bill Fingers creation. If you and your friend created a character and your friend took all of the credit and was hailed as the "Guy", and gained all the fame and money for it, and you die damn near pennyless wouldnt you be mad? Yes, but Finger was a "goodsport" and kept quiet. Bob Kane is a self serving hypocrite.

@jjmegaman90 The Batman (or rather Birdman) sketch that Kane presented to Bill Finger looked nothing like Batman. The character of Batman as we all know him was entirely the creation of Bill Finger. Check the website Dial B For Blog wich has a 3 part article on this.

Kane came up with a character called Bird Man who had a red outfit. Bill Finger changed it to Batman with the uniform we are all familiar with. Kane sold Finger's concept as his own.
