  • How Will Smith didn't win an Oscar for this movie is beyond me.

  • @indure08 I guess we can disagree, I certainly didn't think it missed. It touched everything happening at that time, the feeling in the air, the hurt, the pain , the injustice, the movement, the war. All of these things and how they related to this young boxers life. No sir, didn't think the storyline was weak at all. This man told his life, didn't sugar coat anything. Much could be said for someone who says, if you're gonna tell my story, tell it!! I thgt overall they kept the focus on Ali..

  • Awesome movie

  • @indure 08 how did the film miss the mark on the complexities Ali faced? Just wondering...

  • great intro, great movie. 2 dislikes? seriously?

  • @trojanluck88 Just my opinion. This film missed it's mark on Malcolm X, Elijah Muhammad, and the complexities Ali faced...this opening intro was so powerful, but the film descended, quickly, from there. Just my opinion. I think the film could've been so much more...

  • @trojanluck88 The musical score in this music was excellent, but the script, which I doubt Mann even had control over, was lacking to me. Just my opinion. The opening scene was so powerful, and to me, it descended, quickly, from there. I tried to approach this film from the perspective of someone living under a rock, who never heard of Ali. This film did poor of its portrayal of Malcolm, Elijah Muhammad and the complexities Ali faced, to me.

  • @trojanluck88 It was indeed an all-star cast, but I don't think they blew anything away simply because the script was weak. I think Smith's interpretation of Ali was superb, but that's largely due to his strength as an actor, not this project bringing anything out of him. This film played like a cliche timeline versus a true story of one, if not the most, controversial and prolific athletes of the 21st century.

  • yeeeaaaahhhhhh

  • i use to get this song confused with "Sweet Soul Music"
