Coolers can use both rolling bearing and sliding bearing or they can employ either a rolling or sliding bearing. Which bearings are better? This is an open question! It depends on design, humidity in the system unit and, of course, operating temperature range, in particular, when air is taken into the system unit. Preventive lubrication of sliding bearings will help you to extend the cooler's life time by more than two fold. Your cooler will survive even those that use ball bearings.Any equipment needs and welcomes preventive maintenance. And coolers are durable. Sometimes they can survive even the whole system unit!
