  • Great song saw him in Albany a few years ago,

  • @pcarebear1 thanks, meegwetch-thank you. Life on the rez what crazy at that time. Everybody was drunk, children neglected, but you know what there was good times. Living off the land and spending time with grandmother, that was the only time i felt safe. She would go fishing and go up river, and i would stand on the shore crying for her to take me with, eventually she would say ok. and of course i was so happy. this is what i would do to get away from the binges.

  • @meakanequay gosh hon, i'm so sorry to hear that...sounds similar to what my family has been through in cent. america. i've heard that life on the rez is very hard, glad to see that you have been trying not to let the bitterness of life get to you :)

  • The song brings up a childhood memory, i was walking down the dirtroad on the rez with a stroller and pushing my little sister wondering where my parents were. I felt so ashamed and embarrased, because i knew that i was to young to be pushing her around i felt like people were watching me wondering where my parents were. Both my parents were alcoholics, and we were left to fend for ourselves. Both my parents have passed on now, and i forgave them, my mother was in residential school.
