When I was in the 3rd grade the xmas tree in my classroom had a mantid egg sack on it. I took it home though I had no idea what was. I put it on the kitchen window sill. Some weeks later I found out what that thing was when I heard my mom scream. They were all over the curtains (dozens). Within a few hours they had eaten each other and only a few remained. I caught and released as many as I could find. Very cool...
