  • Was this your own design? I am very impressed.

  • This came from an idea originally discussed with Alan Trest.

I just developed it to this compact functional unit but abandoned further development because of backlash issues. Even so, hard to beat for the price of the components.

  • hi!! just a couple of questions... 1) the steppers arenema 23 or 34?? 2) whats the size of the vertical aluminum profile??

i made a cnc machine.. and i want to use 2 45mm profiles together for the Z axis. but not sure if its gonna be stiff enough. im thinking of making a 4th and 5th axis head. but i have 2 nema 23 steppers (circular body. not square) and im using a 1 hp router, but thinking of getting a 2 1/2 hp router (its about the same size.. but its much more powerful) any suggestion??

  • Nema 23 steppers

    80mm profile
