Neil Gows lament to his 2nd wife. Some say this is a tune written to a broken fiddle, but more likely the first tune Neil played after getting over the death of his second wife Margaret Urquart. I hope you like my version

  • You make a nice choon an that little stella

greetins fae glasga i am writing a little choon on ma fiddle called, Davids lament on the death of his second budgie, its a lament

    keep sober

    i wont

by ra way you play better when yer aff it

now where did a lee ma boatal eh buckie!

  • how about David's sad lament for his empty boatel eh buckie. part A would mimic the hard toil of the monks preparing the buckie. part B would be about the joys of drinking the wine. and part C is the lonely aftermath of knowing the off licences are all closed and there is no way to get anymore buckie... i think i've gone a bit too far with this! thanks for the comment
