@phinetopsc Good point. It never occurred to me that hired vocalists wouldn't be able to reproduce the backgrounds on her recordings. Still, you'd think her people could find 1 or 2 vocalists with the range to, at least, come close.

@GospelAccording2ME I personally like here background singers during the late 80's to early 90's ..the reason they didn't go good Whitney was because on a lot of her records she was doing her own backup singing or she would be included with others and the background would be so high that when she went live the backup singers wouldnt come close.

@lemons82 I love your comment. I have never liked or understood her choice regarding background singers. You'd think that the best voice in music could manage to get the best background vocalists in the industry. Instead she seems to use relatives, friends, folks from the church, etc. I'd rather hear her solo w no backing vocals.
