My God, Billie Jo is so YOUNG here.
But what a singer...notice she doesn't have to hold that mike 1" from her mouth like most of the weak-voiced "idols" of today. She just rears back and belts it...now that's talent!

She has the biggest smile. It makes me giggle. Love it.

@hagirl62 She has an expression of the naughty girl at school. What a lovely face she has ... joy radiates from her when she sings

I just was informed that Billie Jo Spears passed away from cancer on December 14, 2011. God Bless you Billie and I pray for the family at this time of sadness. She sure could sing. What a voice that carries. She will be sadly missed.

One of her very first big hits - great stuff. She has a lot to teach these pop-idol women of today who wouldn't know country music if it bit them in the butt (for the most part anyways) with Hal Rugg on the steel, Billy Lineman on the upright bass, and Jimmy Capps playing on the accoustic guitar. The man on the stool in front of the band playing the dobro is Spider Wilson. All of these guys were members of the Grand Ole Opry Staff Band at the time.
